For all new bookings made for 2026 departures, we have replaced the old “pay everything, then pray” model with three clear windows:

• 121 days or more before boarding: 100% of every dollar paid is refunded. No vouchers, no administrative theatre, no “processing fee” disguised as elegance.

• 30 days or less: the sailing is fully committed. But if a medical emergency or the death of an immediate family member prevents you from travelling, we will issue a Future Travel Credit at 105% of the paid fare. I do not want you to feel punished for an event no calendar could predict.

All deadlines are 23:59 China Standard Time, because clarity matters more than jargon.

There is one clause you will not find in our 2026 terms: force majeure shall be handled solely at the discretion of the carrier. That sentence has ended many luxury travel dreams. I refused to include it.

If the Yangtze itself closes — through flood, landslide, or government river-traffic control — we take the disruption upon ourselves. You will be rebooked on the next available departure with the same suite grade, or you may receive a provisional credit worth 110% of the fare you paid. No blackout dates, no expiration games. You did not choose the river. We own the river’s behaviour when you sail with us.

For 2026, your pre-cruise hotel night in Chongqing is covered by the same cancellation ladder as the cruise itself. So is the transfer from the airport to the ship.

I have seen too many travellers believe they are protected, only to discover later that their luxury land package was a separate contract with a separate set of penalties. That is not a Summit Standard. One journey, one policy, one calm conversation.
